For successful debudding with a cautery (heat) tool it is important to firstly trim the hair from around the horn bud. If hair is trapped under the cautery tip it can prevent the complete elimination of blood supply to the horn tip, and thus allow the horn to continue growing (similar to incomplete ring barking of a tree). Our horn bud trimming scissors have the blades curved upwards with one tip pointed and the other blunt, for easiest and safest use. Length 17cm o.a. Stainless steel manufacture.
