Gas Tail Docker for quick and painless removal of newborn piglet tails. The reason for tail docking is to avoid cannibalism among pigs that might take place if tails remain long during rearing and fattening. During tail docking the tails of newborn piglets are burnt off and the blood vessels are cauterized simultaneously. This prevents bleeding and means pathogens cannot penetrate reducing the risk of disease. - Lessens the risk of infection. - All stainless steel parts. - Quick, simple and safe. - Supplied with one gas refill (one refill docks up to 120 tails). - Tail docking is recommended shortly after birth (max. 3-4days).
