Developed by Shoof, Tubbease is designed to make soaking or poulticing a hoof hassle-free. Its breathable design allows proper drainage and drying, making it ideal for treating injuries and conditions such as abscesses, thrush, and cracks. Use it with various treatments and bandages, and secure with the included Velcro strap. Replacement straps are available.
Soaking and dressing hooves can prove difficult, time consuming and
stressful – but Tubbease are simple and effective for anyone to use and
can be used in conjunction with hoof dressings, medications and
poultices.
Tubbease are excellent for treating abscesses and
infections, bruised soles, thrush, laminitis, white line disease and
seedy toe.
They provide additional protection and cleanliness
and minimise waste when using powder, cream or liquid remedies. They are
designed for short-term use and can be reused with care Now made
with EVA, they are lighter, more flexible, shock-absorbing and heat
mouldable. This allows for a snug and comfortable fit for your horse or
pony. There is an optional EVA sole insert for extra cushioning when
needed. Tubbease allows hooves to breathe naturally, speeding up recovery time. For
using with solution – you can simply pour your solution of choice into
the Tubbease (directed at the sock portion) once it is on, and add more
as required OR dunk the hoof, with the Tubbease on, into a bucket of
solution.
For use with medication – simply apply the medication
then protect with the Tubbease. If you want to use dressings to help
hold the solution or medication on the hoof, this can be done by soaking
the dressing in the solution of your choice or applying medication onto
the dressing, then simply fit on the Tubbease as per the instructions. Optional
sole inserts are available for when extra padding is required for
treatment and comfort – simply match the insert colour to the sock
colour and place in the Tubbease before fitting onto the horse’s hoof.
Medication can also be applied to the insert before packing into the
Tubbease. Additionally, Tubbease can be used to protect the hoof before a show or whilst being floated. Tubbease
should be in every equine first kit to enable treating lameness early
and to take the time and stress out of treating ailments and infections.

in NZ. 5 sizes available, designed and made in New Zealand Please note: Tubbease are not designed to be walked in or to be used on a horse when it is being ridden. Tubbease are not for long term use – they are designed to be worn for 5-7 days in conjunction with treatment but checked daily. They
are a limited life item BUT if care is taken, they can be reused at
your discretion. An insert will also help prolong the life of the
Tubbease. If the horse is prone to biting or ripping covers and/or
is young and not used to equipment being placed on them, we suggest a
muzzle or restraint to be used, or supervision.
