The Bucas Smartex Turnout range offers superb durability and comfort across a wide temperature range, making it an extremely versatile turnout rug. Made with a tough 1680 denier Ballistic Nylon outer, it provides excellent waterproofing (>5000 mm hydrostatic head) and breathability (>3000 g/24h/m²), keeping your horse dry without overheating.
The Smartex Range can be put on a wet horse after exercise or washing and the Stay-dry lining will wick away the moisture, dry your horse and the lining remain dry next to your horse’s skin. The Click’n Go front closure with magnetic Snap-lock is easy to use yet secure, complemented by shoulder darts for a tailored fit, elastic leg straps, cross surcingles, and a deluxe tail cord for added security.
Comfort features include a silk-feel shoulder lining to prevent rubbing and reflective strips for enhanced visibility. Neck pieces are sold separately to complete the system. Available in Medium (150g) and Extra (300g) fill weights, the Smartex works seamlessly with Bucas liners, quilts, and coolers for customizable warmth.
Made from certified recycled materials, the rug is machine washable at 30°C—just follow Bucas care guidelines using their Rug Wash and Re-conditioner to maintain performance and longevity.
