The Bucas Irish Turnout 50 is a performance rug that delivers outstanding value for money, comfort, and flexibility to suit your horse’s needs. With 50g of Thermobonded polyester insulation, it’s the ideal choice for milder conditions or changeable weather, offering lightweight warmth without bulk.
Built with a tough 1200 denier Ripstop outer, this rug is waterproof to over 5000 mm hydrostatic head and offers excellent breathability (>3000 g/24h/m²) to keep your horse dry and comfortable. The breathable Dermo-care lining is designed to help dry the coat faster while keeping it in great condition—supporting a healthy, sleek coat.
The rug features shoulder darts for a roomier, more comfortable fit and improved freedom of movement. A secure T-bar front closure with a magnetic Snap-lock system ensures quick and easy fastening, while cross surcingles and a deluxe tail cord offer stability and security. A generous tail flap adds extra protection against the elements.
It also includes attachment points for the Irish Turnout Neck, allowing you to add full neck protection when needed, as well as connection points for use with Bucas Liners, Quilts, and Coolers—making this a highly versatile rug for varied weather conditions and seasons.
Machine Washable at 30°, always follow the Bucas Wash & Care Guidelines and only use Bucas Rug Re-conditioner and Bucas Rug Wash.
